【摘要】:ISO/IEC12087isconcernedwiththemanipulation,processing,andinterchangeofalltypesofdigitalimages.Themainpurposeofthispartistodefineageneric,unifyingimagingarchitecturetowhichotherpartsofISO/IEC12087conform.ThispartofISO/IEC12087alsodefinesthose"specializations"or"delineations"ofthegenericimagingarchitecturethatarerequiredtosupportIPI-PIKSandIPI-IIF.TherelationshipofthedifferentpartsofISO/IEC12087isshowninfigure1.ThispartofISO/IEC12087describesmaterialthatappliesthroughoutISO/IEC12087,includingtopicssuchasdatatypesavailableforuseinimagedataandimage-relateddata,andamodelfortheprocessingofdigitalimagesbyoperators.Thesetopicsarepresentedinageneralform,sinceitisintendedthatsubsequentimagingstandardswillconformtothesamearchitecturalmodel.Derivedfromthisgeneraldescriptionaremoreconstraineddescriptionsofthesametopics.TheprincipalreasonforthisprocessofdelineationistorestricttherangeofdatarepresentationsforIPI-PIKSandIPI-IIF,whilesimultaneouslyensuringthatIPI-IIFiscapableofinterchangingbothIPI-PIKSdataobjectsandobjectsthatcannotberepresentedormanipulatedwithinIPI-PIKS.ISO/IEC12087permitsmultipleApplicationProgramInterface(API)stobedeveloped,eachofwhichmustbebasedonspecificdelineationsoftheimagingmodeldescribedherein.EachAPIwillbespecifiedinaseparatepartofISO/IEC12087.AnysubsequentAPIsdevelopedaspartofISO/IEC12087mustconformtothecom-monarchitecturedescribedinthisdocument,andmustbeextensionsoftheAPIsdescribedinISO/IEC12087-2andISO/IEC12087-3.ISO/IEC12087isintendedforuseinawidevarietyofenvironmentswheredigitalimagesarehandled.NOTE2ApplicationareasthatareaddressedbyImageProcessingandInterchange(IPI)include:imagemanipulation;imageenhancement;imageanalysis;andimagetransport.ApplicationareasthatarenotaddressedbyIPIinclude:computergraphics;imageunderstanding;multimedia;devicecontrol;andwindowsystems.ISO/IEC12087isintendedtoconformwithotherInternationalStandardsdevelopedtohandledigitalimages.SuchstandardsincludetheJPEG[ISO/IEC10918-1:1994],andMPEG[ISO/IEC11172-1:1993]compressionstandards,OpenSystemsInterconnect[ISO/IEC8824:1990],andOfficeDocumentArchitec-ture[ISO/IEC8613].ThoseaspectsofISO/IEC12087thatareconcernedwiththeacquisitionanddisplayofdigitalimagesconformwiththeComputerGraphicsReferenceModel[ISO11072].Furthermore,annexBof[ISO11072]describeshowimagingfitswithinthegeneralframeworkofthatmodel.ISO/IEC12087-3usesAbstractSyntaxNotation1[ISO/IEC8824:1990]inthedefinitionoftheimageinterchangeformat.ISO/IEC12087compliesdirectlywithallstandardslistedinclause2.
