【摘要】:Thehealthofworkersinmanyindustriesisatriskthroughexposurebyinhalationtotoxicmetalsandmetalloids.Industrialhygienistsandotherpublichealthprofessionalsneedtodeterminetheeffectivenessofmeasurestakentocontrolworkersx2019;exposures,andthisisgenerallyachievedbymakingworkplaceairmeasurements.Thistestmethodhasbeenpromulgatedinordertomakeavailableastandardmethodologyformakingvalidexposuremeasurementsforawiderangeofmetalsandmetalloidsthatareusedinindustry.Itwillbeofbenefittoagenciesconcernedwithhealthandsafetyatwork;industrialhygienistsandotherpublichealthprofessionals;analyticallaboratories;industrialusersofmetalsandmetalloidsandtheirworkers,andothergroups.ThistestmethodspecifiesagenericmethodfordeterminationofthemassconcentrationofmetalsandmetalloidsinworkplaceairusingICP-AES.Theanalysisresultscanbeusedfortheassessmentofworkplaceexposurestometalsandmetalloidsinworkplaceair.Note28212;RefertoGuideE1370forguidanceonthedevelopmentofappropriateexposureassessmentandmeasurementstrategies.1.1Thistestmethodspecifiesaprocedureforcollection,samplepreparation,andanalysisofairborneparticulatematterforthecontentofmetalsandmetalloidsusinginductivelycoupledplasma-atomicemissionspectrometry(ICP-AES).1.2Themethodisapplicabletopersonalsamplingoftheinhalableorrespirablefractionofairborneparticlesandtoareasampling.1.3ThistestmethodshouldbeusedbyanalystsexperiencedintheuseofICP-AES,theinterpretationofspectralandmatrixinterferencesandproceduresfortheircorrection.1.4Thismethodspecifiesanumberofalternativemethodsforpreparingtestsolutionsfromsamplesofairborneparticulatematter.Oneofthespecifiedsamplepreparationmethodsisapplicabletothemeasurementofsolublemetalormetalloidcompounds.Otherspecifiedmethodsareapplicabletothemeasurementoftotalmetalsandmetalloids.1.5Itistheuser''sresponsibilitytoensurethevalidityofthestandardmethodforfiltersofuntestedmatrices.1.6Thefollowingisanon-exclusivelistofmetalsandmetalloidsforwhichoneormoreofthesampledissolutionmethodsspecifiedinthisdocumentisapplicable.However,thereisinsufficientinformationavailableontheeffectivenessofdissolutionmethodsforthoseelementsinitalics.
